8. ADMINISTRATION OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY


The responsibility of keeping records, protecting, and managing applicable intellectual property shall reside with the DRPGS where a Technology Transfer Office (TTO) shall be established.

This office shall provide services and educate researchers, administrators, industry and the society in general on the role of IPR. In addition, the office shall also advise, prepare and review agreements, negotiate and monitor the patenting and licensing of IPR materials.

All disclosures shall be submitted to TTO in the DRPGS. The TTO shall advise DRPGS on whether SUA desires to obtain protection for the intellectual property, or otherwise make use of the intellectual property.
